Jason Morris is a proud husband, father of three, and lawyer operating from his home in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Law is Jason’s second career after working for several years as a database analyst and computer programmer. He started Round Table Law on being admitted to the Alberta bar in 2011.
Jason is currently a part-time LL.M. student at the University of Alberta, studying computational law. He is the cofounder of Legal Hackers Edmonton. He has been asked to speak on legal technology by TEDxUAlberta, the University of Alberta Faculty of Law Legal Innovation Conference, the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the Alberta Legal Technology Conference, the Canadian Bar Association, and Clio Cloud Conference.
Jason’s legal practice currently focuses on wills, civil litigation, and mental health law.
Jason was named a 2018/2019 Innovation Fellow by the American Bar Association Center for Innovation. His fellowship project is to implement case-based reasoning by analogy in an open source tool for automating legal interviews.
